Table ware sets.
We do not make a "Dinner set" as such but you can make up a set from a choice of pieces most folk start with the plates.
The plates are some times a bit difficult to envisage with food on them as to how much they hold but as they have such a narrow rim they do hold quite a lot. The 7 and 9 inch are based on an old shape (2 - 3 hundred years old actually), and we started to make the larger plates mainly as a serving platter but ten to fifteen years ago a lot more people started to use the larger 11 inch platter as a main course plate, (not that we here at Argyll Pottery would want to discourage anyone from this particular choice but we have found the 9 inch quite big enough for all but the largest of Sunday lunches).
